Advantages and Disadvantages of Working With a Ghostwriter

There are many good ghostwriters that you will find on the internet and you have a choice of two; a local ghostwriter, or an offshore ghost writer. There are advantages and disadvantages of working with either one.

One advantage of working with a ghostwriter within your country is the possibility of creating meetings where you can speak one on one and face to face. Another is that a ghostwriter in your country understands the culture and the nuances of local concepts that may be lost on a foreigner. This is valuable if one's book is in some genres, but certainly not an important one in most cases.

If you desire that your book or ebook appeals to a larger audience, then colloquialism is not to your advantage. 

Another advantage of a local ghostwriter is a similarity in work ethic and culture of honesty. It is also easier to step into a time tempo in the course of your work because you are in the same time zone. However, both of those are logistical considerations. There are honest and dishonest people everywhere and if you know what to look for in a ghostwriter, this need not cloud your choice. Time zone is a purely logistical issue and the two of you can work out a plan that suits you best. 

In my years of working with authors, the most inefficient part of getting the book written is the very thing that many authors consider an advantage – ability to have a one on one meeting with the ghostwriter. That is a little paradoxical; it is actually a perceived advantage in the eyes of the author, but is a serious disadvantage if what you wish to accomplish is your unique book complete within a specific time frame.

That then brings this article to the advantages of working with an offshore ghostwriter. The world has taken on a tempo that may go unnoticed, but we decidedly live in a far faster world today than fifteen years ago thanks to technology and more specifically to the internet. If the book that is vibrating in your heart is an idea, speed in getting it out there is of the essence.

Now do not understand speed to mean days and weeks, but the interconnectedness of humanity now means what you do not say soon will be said by someone else in the not too distant future. Whereas that should not inspire feelings of haste, it should inspire the realization that there is a specific reason 'now' why the idea that you have is vibrating in you. You need to get it out so that the earth may start to benefit from it as soon as possible. An offshore ghostwriter, especially through the internet gives you efficiency and speed because you can connect with one who will start your work today.

The intrinsic value of a book lies in the fact that writing is a presentation of a non-tangible; namely, ideas and thoughts. What newbie authors do not know is that for that non-tangible to come into physical reality, they need to have connected with their innermost being-ness to generate the energy that gives their book life. The 'life' of a book is what makes it a success or a flop.

What has that got to do with an offshore ghost writer you ask? Working with a person you may never meet 'forces' you the author to get clarity on your ideas. As all ghostwriting service providers will tell you, the more fully thought through your ideas are the more authentic your final book product will be.

The reason most authors like that 'we can have a one on one meeting' is because it gives them a back hatchet to under-think their ideas. Here is my two pence worth advice on that matter; that will not make your book better – it will give your book the timbre of the heart of the ghostwriter. It is the easiest way to undercut the intrinsic value of your book and you can easily cure that by working with an offshore ghostwriter.

The clarity of your ideas then makes the completion of your product more efficient as an added advantage. Whereas getting clarity is your single greatest disadvantage to working with an offshore ghost writer because it requires more of your time to get your ideas in a format you can pass on, it is probably your single greatest card in working with one.
